Pathfinder is an analytics and insights platform designed and developed by Mobile Pathways to offer descriptive and predictive analysis on immigration trends in the United States, with a specific focus on asylum seekers in court.
Similar to personal medical apps or online accident reports, our Immigration Case History Reports offer vital information about your clients’ immigration case that was previously inaccessible in one singular report. Immigration Case History Reports provide comprehensive overviews of an individual's immigration proceedings and status within the United States immigration court system. These reports compile data from various public governmental and legal sources to present a detailed summary of an individual’s immigration history, including applications, legal representations, hearing history and outcomes, including appeals and decisions made regarding their case.
Typically, these reports can be requested by immigration lawyers, BIA accredited representatives, paralegals, and other legal representatives who are authorized to act on behalf of an individual undergoing immigration proceedings.
Not yet. We are working on safeguarding the information and making it more accessible to the wider pro se and underserved immigration community soon.
These reports are instrumental for legal representatives working on removal defense cases for several reasons: Time Savers: By using these reports, you will no longer need to track cases on the ACIS website or call any 1-800 number to get information about your case. All important case details can be found in one place. Instant Clarity: Pathfinders offer one-click secure access to complete immigration case history from multiple sources. These reports are secure and downloadable reports for you and your client. Identifying Precedents: Understanding past decisions in similar cases aids in predicting outcomes and preparing arguments. Error Identification: Reviewing a client’s immigration history allows lawyers to identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in previous applications or proceedings. Up to date information: Some courts don't send a confirmation notification once a request has been processed. Employment Authorization: Pathfinders makes it easy to determine who qualifies for an EAD. Judge Overview: Pathfinder reports include easily digestible information about the presiding Judge. Asylum Navigator: Each report includes a link to our insights platform.
The reports typically include: Summary of all immigration applications: Including dates of submission, types of applications, and information about the judge. Details of legal representations, filings, and hearings: Information on legal representatives, dates of hearings, motions filed and their outcomes. Decisions and appeals: Any decisions made by immigration authorities regarding the individual's status, along with details of subsequent appeals and their results. Compliance and enforcement actions: Information on detentions, removals, or other compliance measures taken. To see a sample report, please click here.

The processing time can vary anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. We process, review, and analyze over 100,000,000 rows of EOIR data for each report and processing time depends on the length and complexity of the case.
Mobile Pathways combs publicly available datasets from various government agencies and portals including the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR).
Pathfinder reports are generated instantly and contain the latest information the moment they are generated. Data utilized to create the report can be up to 60 days old, depending on the rate of refresh by different government agencies. Please bear in mind each report is a snapshot in time so to get updated information about a case, the existing report will need to be refreshed.

The information should be used to inform the legal strategy for your client's immigration case. It can help in the case acceptance process, in identifying potential challenges, and making informed decisions about the best path forward. It's also essential for ensuring that any future applications or documents are consistent with the individual's immigration history.
While the vast majority of cases are available on Pathfinder, in certain cases the immigration judge may limit attendance or close hearings to protect parties, witnesses, or the public interest. In cases of additional privacy protections, Mobile Pathways follows U.S. Department of Justice guidelines and will not disclose any case information via Pathfinder reports.

Yes, if discrepancies or errors are identified within an Immigration Case History Report, please send an email to help@mobilepathways.org. Bear in mind that Pathfinder only retrieves data from publicly accessible EOIR data sources so errors or discrepancies in cases will be reflected in other online portals such as ACIS or ECAS, and means that the government’s own data is incorrect.
